Schweinfurt, I’m Beth Potter and am your School Liaison officer here in Schweinfurt. We have a lot of Soldiers and families moving to the U.S. Army Garrison in Grafenwoehr this summer. So, if you’re a student heading to Graf, or if your child will be going to school there, I want to keep you in the loop on some information that will be helpful.
What’s important to understand is that the Grafenwoehr area is large in space and in American population. There are several schools in the area. Which school a student attends will be largely based his or her physical address.
I’ve come up with a Q&A list that I hope answers your questions. If you need further guidance, don’t hesitate to visit my School Liaison Services page or contact me directly at DSN 354-6057, CIV 09721-96-6057. I’m located on Ledward Bararcks, Bldg. 206, first floor.
When will the Grafenwoehr registration occur?
Registration has already begun and will continue throughout the summer. Parents are encouraged to register their children as quickly as possible. Enrollment is the main indicator for resource allocation, which could impact class sizes.
What documents do I need to register?
A standardized registration checklist noting the documents necessary for families registering for the 13-14 School Year (SY) has been created and reviewed by the DSO. The contact information for each Grafenwoehr school is noted below. Please keep in mind, elementary school students will need to have a physical address to determine where they will be attending elementary school.
