With closure rapidly approaching, have you wondered which vendors, restaurants and businesses will be here the longest?
Hi Team Schweinfurt, I’m Diana Norton, the new Main Exchange manager. My top priority is to maintain our high level of customer service—all the way through garrison closure in 2014. This means we need to keep you informed of what’s closing.
Many different organizations fall within the AAFES purview to include local vendors to the military clothing store to big chain restaurants such as Burger King. But which ones will stay and who is likely to leave first?
Organizations partnering with us fit into one of three categories based on our relationships. Because you deserve plenty of notice before something closes, allow me to first explain those relationships in detail. Our goal is to give you at least a 30-day notice of a closure. However, both short-term and long-term contractors can depart Schweinfurt in less than 30 days. AAFES-owned organizations, on the other hand, will remain here until at least Dec. 31, 2013.
Team, our garrison is closing. As the Schweinfurt team draws down, so too will businesses that are currently offered. The Exchange will maintain sufficient essential merchandise through the Schweinfurt force reduction. And if you can’t find it at the Main Exchange, use our shuttle program and we’d be happy to get it for you.
We are committed to keeping the public informed. If you have any further questions, please contact our customer service desk located at the Main Exchange on Ledward or call us at 09721-80880.
