Schweinfurt, you know the drill: In the event of an emergency, call the USAG Schweinfurt Military Police front desk at DSN 354-6766/6624 or 114, CIV 09721-96-6766/6624.

But starting June 2, your call will be re-directed to the MP front desk at USAG Ansbach.

What’s that mean to you? Not much. When calling the MP front desk, simply clarify that you are calling from Schweinfurt. An Ansbach MP will receive your call and, if necessary, dispatch a Schweinfurt MP on-scene.

This change does not affect the MP patrols in any way.

While the MP front desk in Schweinfurt will limit its hours, MP services will continue 24/7. MPs will continue patrolling USAG Schweinfurt, responding to calls and conducting security checks up through the garrison closure in September 2014.

With Soldiers transitioning out, the MP front desks at both Schweinfurt and Bamberg must limit service. Calls made to the MP front desk at both Bamberg and Schweinfurt will be directed to the Ansbach MP front desk beginning June 2.

No changes have been made to the Schweinfurt MP front desk phone number. The fire department is not affected. In the event of a fire, call DSN 353-8645 or 117, CIV 09721-96-8645.

Customer service at the front desk of the Schweinfurt MP station on Franz-Schubert Strasse is limited to Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The USAG Schweinfurt customs office on Conn Barracks, Bldg. 64, remains your primary source for fuel cards. The customs office is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. and closed on German and American holidays.

Staff at the MP desk, however, can process fuel cards when the customs office is closed and during business hours. MP front desk staff will also continue out-processing Soldiers during regular business hours.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact the Garrison Provost Marshal at DSN 354-7009, CIV 09721-96-7009.
